Service Description
The perfect wind down. We'll combine some gentle movements known as somatic rinsing with long held postures on the floor that can be supported with props so you can just let your muscles relax. We'll hold each posture for up to 5 minutes and you'll be guided with simple breathwork throughout the practice to stimulate the vagus nerve and support the parasympathetic nervous system. Candles and soothing music will enhance the nurturing aspect of this experience. We'll also use rose oil for self massage techniques. Beginning this Autumn, this class will feature a 15 minute Yoga Nidra at the end. Yoga is more than the poses, the poses are the way in...into our internal landscapes. Enjoy some aspect of story, philosophy or theme that touches upon the many layers of our human experience. For: Beginners or anyone who is interested in a slow mindful practice or simply 'a good old stretch'. Benefits: soothing for mind and body
