Service Description

Embodied yin yoga takes the slow, meditative nature of yin and infuses it with a deeper somatic, felt‑sense approach. Embodied Yin is about meeting yourself inside the a stretch, energy, movement with curiosity rather than force. Unlike some traditional Yin Yoga classes, we will explore gentle movements rather than complete stillness. Interoceptive focus You’re not just holding a pose or moving - you’re tracking subtle sensations, emotional tones, and breath rhythms as they shift over time. Sensation-led practice Instead of aiming for a specific shape or depth, you explore what your body is actually offering in that moment. The poses, movements adapts to you, not the other way around. Nervous system awareness Yin can stir things up because it targets fascia and long-held tension. The embodied approach encourages grounding, choice, and pacing so the practice feels safe and regulated. Micro-movements + stillness You might gently rock, spiral, or adjust before settling, allowing the body to find a more authentic version of the pose. What a session looks like: Swaying, rocking, moving, stretching, releasing into relaxing shapes. Props used not to eliminate sensation but to make it sustainable. Space for silence, breath awareness, and integration between poses. Benefits: It transforms yin from a passive stretch into a mindful, embodied inquiry. Helps unwind chronic tension patterns without pushing or overriding the body. Supports emotional processing in a gentle, non‑directive way. Builds a more trusting relationship with your body’s signals.
